Diving inquest to resume after Easter

by isleofman.com 7th March 2008
It’s been claimed safety measures on a piece of equipment, used during a tragic accident, could have been improved upon.

Dr Anthony Wray, of the United Kingdom's Health and Safety Executive, was today giving evidence at the inquest on 41 year-old Liverpool man Michael Bromsgrove, who died while diving off Port Erin in April two years ago.

Dr Wray carried out a report into the incident and said equipment used by Mr Bromsgrove was susceptible to power supply interruptions.

Technologist, Dr Alexander Deas yesterday said he believed a loose battery connection led to Mr Bromsgrove’s oxygen supply being cut off.

James Davis reports (audio file attached):

The inquest has been adjourned until after Easter.
