Cyclists perform well in North West

by isleofman.com 10th March 2008
Six members of Team Scottish Provident Isle of Man junior cycling club were in Southport on Saturday for the opening round of the Cycling Development North West Youth League.

Competing against most of the top juveniles in the North West, including several of British Cycling's Talent Team members, Adam Johnson finished an excellent fifth in the under 16's event, with Thomas Mazzone a very good 12th in a large field of over 40 competitors.

In the under 14's class, Joshua Knights was a fine 12th and Lucy Johnson was the fourth best girl in 18th spot.

Finally, in the under 12's category, Leon Mazzone was an impressive fifth and Daniel De Weert a good 20th.
