Predictions by weathermen of limited flooding in and around the Island's harbour areas proved accurate at lunchtime today.
Department of Transport staff and emergency services personnel were out in force, and sand-bags were put in position in some places.
As high tide approached at 1pm, it became clear the water wasn't going to rise much above the quayside, in most areas.
