Minister on runway extension

by isleofman.com 10th March 2008
More questions will be raised in Tynwald tomorrow about the ?42 million scheme at Ronaldsway.

It's claimed the area of coastline where the promontory will be built, as part of a runway extension, is of ecological significance.

Transport Minister David Anderson (pictured) says a delay has given those who oppose the plans, such as Onchan MHK Peter Karran, a chance to undermine it.

He says the project is a complicated one (audio file attached):

David Anderson was speaking to Stuart Peters on Mandate.
