Pensions boost reflects government policy

by isleofman.com 10th March 2008
The latest round of Social Security spending in the Isle of Man will put pensioners on income support more than ?14 a week better off than their counterparts in the United Kingdom.

Health Minister Eddie Teare (pictured) says the spend is in line with government policy to target the lower income sector of the community.

Regarding the funding, he says there will be no question of 'robbing Peter to pay Paul' (audio file attached):

Eddie Teare was speaking to Dan Davies on Talking Heads.
