Ashtray amnesty launched

It's National No Smoking Day, and an initiative designed to reflect the Isle of Man's soon to be smoke-free atmosphere is being launched.

Under the Ashtray Amnesty, the Public Health Division is urging people and businesses to hand over their old ash trays, in time for the smoking ban at the end of the month.

The collected trays will be made into an artistic display by pupils at the Isle of Man College.

Health Promotion Officer Michelle Flanagan hopes people will be encouraged to kick the habit:
