No more flag days in Douglas

Charitable organisations are being told by Douglas Corporation not to apply to hold street collections during 2008.

The Town Hall says the limit of 28 for the year has already been reached, and any further applications will be turned down.

Police and Resorces Committee chairman David Christian says 'flag days' play an important part in the life of the town, but it's possible to overdo it:
