Bridge closure for maintenance

by isleofman.com 13th March 2008
The Peel Harbour swingbridge will be closed to pedestrians from this evening until Saturday morning.

It’s so a hydraulic oil change can be undertaken as part of the ongoing maintenance programme for the town’s water retention scheme.

There will be no access in or out of the inner harbour for boat owners over the high water period between approximately 1.50pm and 6.10pm on Friday.

The work was meant to take place last weekend but was delayed due to high winds.

Further information can be obtained from the harbour office in Peel on 842338, during office hours, or Douglas Harbour control at anytime on 686628.
