The Liberal Vannin Party has announced another official candidate for next month's local authority general election.
Steve Babb, who fought for a seat in the House of Keys 16 months ago, will again try his luck in the constituency of Onchan.
He says he is concerned about an alleged mismanagement of finances in the village in previous years which, he says, has led to the latest nine per cent increase in rates.
If elected, he says he will find ways of reducing, what he calls, the authority's unnecessary expenditure, and suggests working with other local authorities to take advantage of collective purchasing and resource sharing, wherever possible.
He says the commissioners represent the heart of Onchan, and they need to talk to local residents and, more importantly, listen to what they have to say.
The Island's second ever local authority general election is on Thursday, April 24.
