by isleofman.com 15th March 2008
St John’s gave themselves a Premier League lifeline with a 2-1 win at Union Mills on Saturday.

Anthony Moore was the match-winner with two goals as he continued his fine form to earn the westerners a glimmer of hope in their bid to beat the drop.

Michael Callister was the Millers’ marksman.

At Ballacloan, Ramsey pulled off an impressive win of their own as goals from Tony Corlett and Steven Cleator sealed a 2-1 win over St Mary’s, whose goal was scored by Steven Priestnal.

The two promoted clubs from last season shared the spoils at Blackberry Lane.

Corinthians led at half-time through Chris Cannell before Liam Buckley equalised for Old Boys after the break.

And Gymns and Rushen shared four goals at Tromode – Adam Cregeen and Adam Hawley were the Rushen scorers.
