The Liberal Vannin Party’s holding an open meeting this evening (Monday) for prospective candidates in next month’s local authority general election.
The party already has a number of candidates contesting constituencies and would like to hear the credentials of anyone else interested.
The meeting takes place at the Liverpool Arms at 7pm.
Standing candidates will also be at the meeting, which the party says will provide an opportunity to discuss with MHKs and existing commissioners the role of a local authority member and the amount of personal time it entails.
