The jury in the trial of former gymnastics coach Hal Volante, who is accused of indecently assaulting young girls, has retired to consider its verdicts.
Before they left the court Acting Deemster Sullivan told them to base their deliberations soley on what they had heard in evidence, and to ignore anything picked up in the press or elsewhere.
She also said that while Mr Volante had broken guidelines set down for gymnastics coaches it didn't necessarily mean he had broken the law.
The prosecution has accused him of being a manipulative man, who posed a menace to the girls in his care, and couldn't keep his hands to himself.
Mr Volante denies eight charges of indecently assaulting seven young girls, aged ten to 15, and has said there was no sexual motive behind any of his actions.
