Police urge victims to come forward

Victims of indecent assault in the Isle of Man are being urged to contact police.

It follows the conviction of a former gymnastics coach, who was found guilty on four out of eight offences against young girls, aged ten to 15.

It took the jury two days to reach its verdicts against 62 year old Hal Volante.

Volante was granted bail, but revoked that right and will remain in custody until sentencing on May 1.

He must also register under the Sex Offenders Act.

Detective Inspector Phil Shimmin, from the Public Protection Unit, hopes the case gives people faith in the Island's justice system:
