MHK urges voters to make their mark

by isleofman.com 20th March 2008
Local authority elections are your chance to influence what happens in your community, whether it's by standing or casting your vote.

Rushen MHK Phil Gawne has issued that rallying call ahead of next week's deadline for candidate submissions.

Mr Gawne (pictured) says the next four years could prove crucial for the south of the Island with, among other things, the Southern Area Plan being up for negotiation (audio file attached):

Mr Gawne will be hosting a public meeting for prospective local authority election candidates and anybody with an interest in local government, at Ballafesson Methodist Hall, next Wednesday evening.
