The President of the Isle of Man Trades Council believes a "double standards" situation may have arisen following the inquest into the deaths during last year's Centenary TT.
Bernard Moffatt says it seems that parties involved in running the TT are not subject to the same conditions as workers in other sectors.
Coroner Michael Moyle was highly critical of safety measures and specifically named some individuals and organisations.
But Mr Moffatt says if people in the workplace were disciplined for even a minor incident, they would face sanction or even dismissal.
