Knights Templars in Laxey?

by isleofman.com 27th March 2008
The medieval Knights Templar Order is hoping to be restored by the Pope after almost 700 years – and its campaign is being spearheaded from offices in Laxey.

An advertisement in the Daily Telegraph last week appealed for people to petition for the order’s restoration through its website theknightstemplar.info

The web address was registered by Peter Evans who claims to be from the Knights Templar in Vannin House in Glen Road, Laxey.

The order was suppressed in the 14th century and since it disappeared, it’s become the stuff of legends linked to the Holy Grail and, more recently, in the Da Vinci Code.
