Drugs study findings to be presented

The Isle of Man Government's Drug and Alcohol Strategy team will present a recent study to the Annual Public Health Forum in Liverpool on Tuesday.

The European School Survey, conducted last year, showed a five per cent reduction in the number of 15 and 16 year-olds who admitted to having used cannabis.

There was also a seven per cent fall in the number of those who had taken the drug in the previous year.

Home Affairs Minister Martyn Quayle says the study shows how a co-ordinated strategy can achieve an improvement in the habits of young people:
