Flawed logic in mass screening

There are no plans at this stage to offer free health screenings to people in the over forty age group in the Isle of Man.

The initiative, which has already taken off in the United Kingdom, is a preventitive measure against heart disease, strokes and diabetes.

Consultant in Public Health Medicine on the Island Dr Paul Emerson (pictured) says it is a good idea, but not without its flaws:
