BBC to broadcast Port Erin concerts

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2008
Chamber music from the Isle of Man will feature in this summer's programme schedule for BBC Radio 3.

Selected performances from the Mananan International Festival of Music and the Arts in Port Erin will be broadcast by the station, in the 'Lunchtime Concert' slot during August.

It's the idea of Radio 3 producer Les Pratt, who believes the Isle of Man is under-represented on the BBC's airwaves (audio file attached):

Six concerts will feature on a total of four programme, during the week commencing August 4.
