Reward offered for convictions

Vandals who have committed acts of criminal damage to public toilets in Douglas are being told they could face fines of up to ?2,000.

The Chairman of the Corporation's Pubic Works Committee, Richie McNicholl (pictured), is offering a reward for infomation leading to convictions, and says the Town Hall would seek compensation for any damage.

In the case of a recent attack on the toilets near the former boating pool on the promenade, the replacement cost could be ?200,000:
