Seven Stations Challenge today

A 50-mile walk encompassing the Island’s seven fire stations takes place today (Sunday) in memory of a popular member of the fire service.

This year’s Seven Stations Challenge has been renamed the Sara (Pro: Sarah) Killey Memorial Walk with proceeds to the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund.

The event involves competitors tackling a route which visits all of the Island's fire stations, adding up to about 50 miles on the road.

Fundraising manager for the Island branch, Mary Cannell, says Sarah’s much missed by her colleagues (audio file attached):
