A Ramsey man has been accused of sexually assaulting another boy at a care home more than two decades ago.
37 year old Paul Derek Phoenix of Queen’s Drive East is said to have committed ten offences between 1983 and 1986 at the home in Longridge in Lancashire.
He was arrested here in the Isle of Man by officers from the UK force and was charged on March 20.
Last week, he appeared at Blackburn magistrates court.

At the times the offences are said to have been committed, Mr Phoenix was aged between 13 and 16 while his victim was aged nine to 13.
He is now charged with one count of committing an act of gross indecency and nine other serious sexual assaults against the boy.
The children’s home near Preston where the attacks are said to have taken place closed five years ago.
Historically, it was run first by Preston Council before being taken over by Lancashire County Council.
