Fourth round of Legco voting needed

by isleofman.com 8th April 2008
The attempt to fill the final seat on the Legislative Council will now move to a fourth round.

In the Keys this morning broadcaster David Callister and former MHK and MLC Pamela Crowe received ten votes each, three short of the thirteen required.

There was one spoilt paper.

Had either candidate received 11 votes a second round of voting would have taken place this morning.

Nominations for the next round of voting have to be in by 5pm on Friday with the next vote taking place on April 22nd.

Mrs Crowe has confirmed that she will stand again, whilst Mr Callister is presently considering his position.
