Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says he was pleased with the "supportive feedback" he received from Brussels Agricultural policy leaders who welcomed his department's proposals.
Mr Gawne returned from a two day trip to the EU capital yesterday.
He says senior officials and politicians he spoke to were extremely helpful in drawing his attention to various mechanisms which could be used to ensure a self-reliant, sustainable future for the Island's farmers and food chain.
The Minister says the endorsement of the policy which has been developed by DAFF over the last two and a half years is great news and very timely as Tynwald will consider their proposals next week.
