An overflow car park at the Creg ny Baa pub will remain closed while talks over its future take place with planners.
The parking area is covered in gravel but backs onto a nearby home where the householders say it affects their drainage.
Although planning permission had been given to use the site as a car park, planners had ordered a thirty foot wide buffer zone between it and the house.
But the owners appealed, saying this would take up at least a quarter of the entire area.

Planning inspector Michael Hurley said the site was unusual as normal policy would be to prevent developments like this in the countryside.
But he said the site was an important one for tourism as it was well used during the TT and Manx Grand Prix.
He said it did create drainage and privacy problems for the householder, and said proposals should be submitted to the planning authority to resolve them.
But until that time, Mr Hurley said the car park should remain closed.
DoLGE Minister John Shimmin agreed, allowed the appeal, and amended the planning condition.
