Long-serving commissioners stand down

Tribute is being paid to the work of two Castletown commissioners, who are standing down after collectively racking up half a century of service.

Derek Cain and Barbara Anderson will retire at the end of the month having served 30 and nearly 20 years respectively.

They have been chairman of the board five times between them.

Earlier this week, colleagues paid them glowing tributes at their final public meeting, and Mr Cain has some amusing memories to cherish (audio file attached):
