Two still battling it out for vacant seat

by isleofman.com 11th April 2008
The fourth attempt to fill the vacant seat on the Legislative Council will again be a two-horse race.

When nominations closed at 5pm today, broadcaster David Callister and former MHK and MLC Pamela Crowe were the only names which had been put forward.

Both polled 10 votes during this week's third ballot, three short of the number needed to secure the position.

The next election will be held during the sitting of the House of Keys on Tuesday, April 22.
