Cav takes Manx title

by isleofman.com 13th April 2008
Mark Cavendish has won the Isle of Man Cycling Road Race Championship.

Competing in his Team High Road kit, he beat Andrew Roche to the line after five laps around a course from Peel to Kirk Michael and back.

With Graeme Hatcher making an early solo bid for glory, Cav says it was important to wait until lap three to make his move:-

Aaron Livesey finished in third place.

In the 3 lap support race, the win went to Adam Johnson, second was Jonathan Cregeen and completing the podium was Greg Chambers.
