Karran questions drug and alcohol strategy

Is the government's Drug and Alcohol Strategy as effective as it could be?

Onchan MHK Peter Karran thinks not - and he's calling for the two components of the strategy to be separated - and dealt with as single issues.

Mr Karran (pictured) wants a fundamental re-think and has tabled a question for today's Tynwald.

He says drug and alcohol abuse cause different problems - and if they were split, all sorts of practical solutions could be pursued:
