by isleofman.com 15th April 2008
Details have been released about a hill search at the weekend for a woman who called for help on her mobile phone after falling and injuring her leg.

The woman fell on Sunday afternoon while walking her dog on North Barrule.

A hill search team in an off-road vehicle got within 80 metres of her, 19 minutes after her call.

Ambulance crews were also sent and helped stabilise the woman before carrying her in a basket stretcher to the rescue vehicle.

She was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
