Driving test age change not yet approved

It was confirmed in Tynwald today that the Council of Ministers hadn't yet approved proposals to raise the minimum age at which a young person can sit a driving test from 16 to 17.

The information was provided by Chief Minister Tony Brown in response to a question from Rushen MHK Quintin Gill.

The proposal was made last month, but Mr Brown (pictured) said the Council was awaiting more information from the Treasury before making its decision:
