The issue of water fluroidation has become one of the week's hottest topics.
Last night dozens of people packed a public meeting in Ramsey to hear the arguments for and against, and on Thursday the DHSS will unveil a leaflet to be sent to every household in the Island, in the latest part of their public consultation on the controversial issue.
Rushen MHK Quintin Gill is strongly opposed to the move and had a salvo of questions for Health Minister Eddie Teare in Tynwald.
Quoting a scientist opposed to flouridation, he suggested drinking fluoride to prevent cavities is like drinking sun tan lotion to prevent sun burn.
