'Underhand tactic' - DHSS accused

Rushen MHK Quintin Gill claims the Department of Health and Social Security is issuing propaganda in the row over fluoridating the Island’s water supply.

Last night in Tynwald, a furious debate broke out after the DHSS leaflet claimed the Water Authority was going to change legislation to allow fluoridation.

But the authority said that wasn’t true and the leaflet, which was due to be sent out to all Island homes next week, may now have to be scrapped.

Mr Gill (pictured) says it’s an underhand tactic which doesn’t belong in a consultation process:
