Langness discussions going well

Hopes are high the dispute over access rights to the Langness peninsula can still be resolved without a public inquiry.

Michael MHK David Cannan made the announcement to Tynwald, which then voted unanimously to delay further debate on the matter until the July sitting, at the earliest.

That's when Mr Cannan, who heads a Tynwald delegation mediating between the parties hopes to report back with positive and satisfactory proposals.

He said that, so far, discussions had gone well (audio file attached):
