MEA warns of potentially fatal danger

by isleofman.com 16th April 2008
The Manx Electricity Authority is again warning parents not to let children play near power lines, or throw things at them.

Engineers have had to remove a skipping rope from an overhead power line in Walpole Avenue, Ramsey (pictured).

Although no one was hurt, there is concern the owner may have tried to remove it, with potentially fatal consequences.

With the evenings getting lighter, the MEA is stressing the vital importance of keeping children away from power lines or electrical substations.
