Director delighted by extension approval

The start of a new era.

That's how the Director of Isle of Man Airport has greeted Tynwald's approval of funding for the Department of Transport's runway extension scheme.

The ?44 million project will see a promontory and extended safety areas built, along with some major resurfacing work.

It all means the Island will comply with future safety requirements.
