Geordies close in on Premier Title

Football - St. George's are just one win away from being crowned the first winners of the Sure Mobile Premier League.

At a cold Glencrutchery Road last night, they defeated their closest rivals Peel 2-1.

Callum Morrisey and Martin Torr scored for the home side with Gary Christian firing in a spectacular effort for the westerners.

St. George's are now on the verge of a fourth title in the past five years. They are eight points clear at the top and Peel have only three games left to play - Manager Chris Bass Senior:-
