Four go for single seat in Port Erin

by isleofman.com 18th April 2008
There will be a by-election in Port Erin next month with four candidates bidding for one seat on the board.

Retired DHSS manager Keith Graham Halford, trainee electrician Edward McBride, chartered accountant Justin Unsworth and housewife Michelle Wirtz will contest the election on May 15.

The vacancy arose after an insufficient number of candidates came forward last month.

The polling station will be the commissioners’ office.

The candidates are also subject to a period for any withdrawals or objections between now and 2pm on Monday.
