Launch of 2008 Heritage Flower Festival

by isleofman.com 18th April 2008
The 2008 Manx Heritage Flower Festival will be officially launched at St John's Chapel on Saturday morning.

This year's theme is 'Hope Springs Eternal', and the event - due to run for seven days, from July 6th - will feature contributions from 18 churches and chapels.

All 18 will be represented at Saturday's publicity launch, by Tourism and Leisure Minister Adrian Earnshaw.

The theme draws its inspiration from 'Hope 2008', a United Kingdom campaign and Christian mission initiative, to unite churches in word and deed.

The 2008 Manx Heritage Flower Festival will feature floral displays, photographs and paintings on the chosen theme in all the participating churches.
