by isleofman.com 21st April 2008
A man has appeared in court charged with wounding with intent to murder two men, Christopher Crellin and Andrew Yewdall.

Twenty-five year-old Christopher William Scatchard, a self employed man of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday after an alleged incident in Pulrose during the early hours of the morning, in which the men received stab wounds.

A 29 year-old woman, Michelle McBirnie, has been charged with assisting an offender in the same matter.

Both defendants were remanded in custody until April 29.

One of the men who were stabbed remains in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
The second was discharged at the weekend.

Mr Scatchard faces two separate charges, one for each of the alleged victims.
