The Isle of Man is the last financial centre on earth most accountants want to relocate to, according to a specialist website.
GAAPweb, an accounting and finance jobsite, polled accountants about where they would be willing to move to for their career and why.
Top of the list were Dubai, New York and Sydney, with respondents saying they would move for the lifestyle benefits and career progression.
Near the bottom of the list was Jersey, where just 24 per cent said they would move, and Guernsey where only 20 per cent said they would go.
And right at the bottom? The Isle of Man, with only 15.7 per cent of accountants saying they would jump on the ferry and take up a job here.
The website’s head of marketing, Melissa Buxton, says while other destinations may seem more glamorous, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man have thriving economies which finance sector workers shouldn’t overlook.
