Rushen and Royals into women's final

by isleofman.com 21st April 2008
Douglas Royal will take on Rushen in the final of the Sure Mobile Women's FA Cup following away victories for both in last night's semis.

Royals overcame Corinthians 5-3 thanks to a Kim Hicklin double and one each from Sam McDonald, Orna Lynch and Leanne Ash.

Leone Roberts, Steph Hall and Jade Burden replied for the home side.

A good second half fightback saw Rushen come from behind to beat Gymns 3-1.

Dawn Quinn's strike saw Gymns go in ahead at the break but Janine Simpson, Dawn Georgeson and Hannah Biggerstaff found the net in the second period to send the Spaniards through.
