Charity Challenge tonight

Island sixth formers have been vying to win cash for their favourite overseas charities tonight.

Youngsters from Castle Rushen, St Ninian's, Ballakermeen, QEII High School and King William's College have been taking part in the 2008 Charity Challenge, to win a slice of ?4,000 prize money.

They were each due to give a multi-media presentation on how the work of their chosen charity has affected a child in the developing world.

The contest is organised by the One World Centre and supported by the H&S Davidson Trust.

Ten judges were due choose the best-performing teams in the event at the Manx Museum.
