Members of the House of Keys will make yet another attempt to elect a new member to the Legislative Council today.
Three attempts have so far failed to produce a winner.
Two candidates remain, Pamela Crowe and David Callister, who go head-to-head for the second time.
It's likely to be a relatively short Keys session, with only five questions tabled for oral answer.
Marian Kenny reports (text, below, from attached audio file): :
John Houghton will ask the transport minister to organise a meeting for Tynwald members and lifeboat station officers over plans to take over operations in Manx waters from the Liverpool coastguard.
Bill Malarkey has three questions on property and planning matters.
He will ask what powers Douglas council has to prosecute landlords who allow properties to fall into disrepair.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran will raise the discrepancy in pay rates between DHSS care workers and those employed indirectly through private sector care providers.
Then the LegCo vote: we'll find out later whether either candidate can summon the critical 13 votes needed for election to the post.
The financial services Bill reaches the amendment stage, the proceeds of crime bill gets a second reading and the Agricultural Tenancies bill its third.
