TT liability concerns

There's a call for extra legal protection for Department of Transport manual workers who prepare roads around the TT course.

The Whitley Council employees' side is asking whether workers could be held liable in court should anything go wrong.

Secretary Bernard Moffatt says with extra duties in the pipeline this year, the workers deserve a guarantee and surety against legal lliability.

The concerns are in the wake of severe criticism for a number of individuals involved in TT organisation at the recent inquest into three deaths last year.
