Food outlet quality initiative launched

A new quality assurance system for food outlets, including restaurants, pubs, cafes and take-aways, has been launched by the Department of Tourism and Leisure.

Thirty establishments have signed up to take part in the Taste Isle of Man pilot scheme.

Assessment criteria include the general appearance of the premises, standard of service, presentation, food quality and cleanliness.

Area Manager for 'Quality In Tourism' Graham Morphy-Morris says participants need to do well in all areas to achieve accreditation:
