New MLC wants publicly elected Council

Broadcaster David Callister says he is looking forward to taking his place on the Legislative Council.

Mr Callister secured his place yesterday morning after polling 13 votes in an election in the House of Keys, and will now serve in the upper chamber for just under five years.

He explained one of the reasons why he decided to stand (audio file attached):
