Flower festival launched

The 2008 Manx Heritage Flower Festival has been officially launched.

Eighteen churches and chapels will take part in the event which has the theme 'Hope Springs Eternal'.

Floral displays, photographs and paintings will be on view in the churches for seven days, from July 6.

Chairman of the working party for the event June Callister says there is a different theme every year, but there is always one constant (audio file attached):
