Border TV campaign moves to London

by isleofman.com 24th April 2008
A delegation from the campaign to save Border TV’s Lookaround show is in London today to give a presentation to the United Kingdom's communications watchdog, Ofcom.

Lookaround Presenters Fiona Armstrong and Tim Backshall and presenter and journalists' union representative Adam Powell are among the party.

They will be taking along 7,000 petition cards signed by viewers from across the region, all opposed to ITV's proposed merger of Lookaround with Tyne Tees News.

There is concern locally that merging with Tyne Tees would lead to a serious decline in Manx issues being aired on regional television.
