Fire safety checks on offer

by isleofman.com 24th April 2008
The Isle of Man Fire Service says it's essential to make sure properties are up to scratch when it comes to fire safety.

With this in mind, the Fire Safety Team is raising awareness of the free home checks it is offering to carry out.

There has been a leaflet drop to homes in Douglas, in conjunction with the Town Council, and others will follow for the rest of the Island.

Fire Safety Officer Steve Cretney says the checks are free and aren't designed to catch people out (audio file attached):

Steve Cretney was speaking to Dan Davies on Talking Heads.
